Dental Physiotherapy
Specialized physiotherapy for the maxillofacial area
About Dental Physiotherapy
Dental physiotherapy comprises a set of procedures tailored to the specifics of the maxillofacial region. It successfully addresses pain syndromes such as trigeminal neuralgia, post-extraction pain, discomfort after endodontic treatment, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunctions. The applied methods have a strong anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect, supporting faster and more comfortable recovery.
In addition to treatment, dental physiotherapy also supports prevention - for example, fluoride iontophoresis, which quickly saturates the enamel with fluoride through a mild galvanic current, thereby increasing resistance to caries and wear while reducing hypersensitivity. Physical diagnostics include electroodontodiagnostics (EOD) and pulse oximetry, which help us assess pulp vitality in cases of trauma, deep caries, or reversible pulpitis, so that we may avoid unnecessary devitalization and its complications. When needed, we complement care with thermographic screening for hidden inflammation (see Thermography).
