What is Digital Smile Design?

A planning method that simulates the ideal tooth shape, size and position using photos and scans, then previews it in your mouth with a temporary mock-up.

Will my teeth be drilled for the mock-up?

No. The try-in mock-up is additive and reversible; no drilling is performed at this stage.

How long does the mock-up appointment take?

Typically 60-90 minutes, depending on case complexity and the number of teeth involved.

What treatments might follow the design?

Whitening, composite bonding, veneers/onlays/crowns, periodontal contouring, orthodontics or implant solutions - case-dependent.

Will the final result look exactly like the mock-up?

The result is very close. Small variations may occur to accommodate chewing and speech function and the properties of the materials, but the initial mock-up provides clear expectations.

How many visits are needed?

Consult & records → design review/mock-up → preparation & provisionals (if needed) → final bonding; the number varies by case.

Do I need orthodontics first?

Sometimes. If tooth position affects aesthetics or function, we may recommend short orthodontic treatment before restorations.

Should I whiten my teeth before the design?

Whitening is often done prior to final restorations so we can match the new, lighter shade accurately.

How is the digital design transferred to my mouth?

With 3D-printed/milled indices or guides and a temporary material for the mock-up; later the same design guides minimally invasive preparations and provisionals.

What role does Supreme 3D play?

Our laboratory (Supreme 3D) designs and fabricates precise guides according to the digital plan, along with temporary and final restorations, providing accuracy from the preliminary visualization to the final smile.
